A conservative group is looking out members of the Republican Party by identify for selling “lies, violence and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories” in a scathing new advert that can air on Fox News throughout “Hannity” in Washington, D.C. subsequent week.
The spot from the Republican Accountability Project ― a part of Defending Democracy Together, a never-Trump conservative group ― praises the members of the get together who turned on former President Donald Trump after the violent riot carried out by his supporters within the Capitol on Jan. 6.
But some members of the get together nonetheless help Trump they usually’ve attacked those that’ve stood as much as the previous president. Others have repeated Trump’s lies concerning the election.
The advert particularly names representatives Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.):
The Republican Accountability Project maintains a “Hall of Shame” on its web site that includes Republican lawmakers who “have made it clear that they cannot be trusted with power.” That record consists of Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas (“one of Trump’s most loyal enablers”) and Gaetz (“a Trump sycophant for as long as Trump’s been in office”).
The group additionally retains an inventory of “Defenders of Democracy,” or the 10 members of the House who voted to question Trump.
