Amritsar, February 11
Demanding prison proceedings in opposition to the culprits concerned in misappropriation of 328 saroops of the Guru Granth Sahib from the possession of the SGPC, Baldev Singh Wadala, a former Hazoori Raagi of the Golden Temple, and his supporters gheraoed the residence of Cabinet minister OP Soni right here at this time.
Though Soni was in Chandigarh, the protesters performed prayers for just a few hours outside Soni’s residence.
Wadala resented the state authorities’s “indifferent” angle in direction of protests that continued for over 100 days right here over the lacking saroops.
“Our purpose of gheraoing residences of Cabinet ministers is to sensitise them about the issue of misappropriation of saroops and the government’s failure to initiate action in the matter,” he stated. — TNS
