Cruz was seen on a United flight to Cancun final Wednesday night time, as hundreds of thousands of individuals in his state had no warmth, electrical energy or operating water within the wake of the storm. After backlash on social media, he flew again to Texas the next morning. 

In an announcement issued early Thursday afternoon, Cruz denied that he was going to Cancun for a trip and blamed his daughters for the journey.

“Wanting to be a good dad, I flew down with them last night and am flying back this afternoon,” he mentioned.

Cruz advised Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Monday that he thinks the media is overlaying his journey to Cancun as a result of they’re “suffering from Trump withdrawal.”
