Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to start treating roadsides for weeds

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) – Kentucky transportation crews plan to start treating roadsides across the state for weeds in an effort to enhance driver security and environment friendly upkeep operations.

The Transportation Cabinet mentioned in an announcement on Tuesday that crews had been anticipated to start remedy for noxious and nuisance weeds this month.

Their targets embody Johnson grass, big foxtail, poison hemlock and kudzu.

Transportation Secretary Jim Gray says weeds can’t solely intrude with a driver’s line of imaginative and prescient, but in addition trigger drainage issues.

Motorists are requested to be cautious once they see crews spraying weeds.
