The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, has accepted a letter of resignation submitted by Minister for Development of Economy, Trade, and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko.
The corresponding choice was backed by 280 lawmakers registered within the session corridor with the required minimal being 226 MPs, based on an UNIAN correspondent.
Petrashko’s resignation: What is thought
- On May 14, 2021, Ihor Petrashko and Vladyslav Kryklii – ministers of economic system and infrastructure, respectively, filed resignation letters for approval by parliamentarians.
- According to media studies, it was President Volodymyr Zelensky who requested Infrastructure Minister Kryklii and Economy Minister Petrashko to step down.
- Deputy Chairman of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction Yevhenia Kravchuk famous that lawmakers didn’t see any breakthrough concepts from Petrashko that have been wanted to strengthen the Ukrainian economic system.
- Incumbent chief of Ukraine’s State Tax Service Oleksiy Lyubchenko is claimed to be nominated to switch Petrashko.
